This top is all solid Sikkim Spruce. We've searched through the entire beginner guitar category here. One of the most frequent complaints is that tone really sucks for some sketchy guitars. To tackle that, we choose selected solid Sikkim Spruce as the top material. Don't know what Sikkim Spruce is? Totally fine! You just need to know it's an excellent tonewood for making acoustic guitars. Always remember that the top material is the core engine of an acoustic guitar. Check out that demo video in the description section. The back & sides are impervious to humid and temperature. We use HPL as the material for the back & sides. The biggest edge of HPL is that it's impervious to humidity and temperature changes. It also adds a bit of its own flavor to the tone of the guitar. We've done tests on it. HPL does outperform the wooden materials for building back & sides. You can feel the tone in your hand. Our product team also developed this original bolting technique that uses 2 screws to bolt the neck to the body, which drastically enhances the resonance of the entire guitar. Last but not least, the neck is made of mahogany, adding that warm woody feeling to the tone. Also, we've nailed it down to this hybrid neck profile, with a little bit of 'C' in the lower register, and a kind of 'V' in the higher register. This design will make it easy to strum chords, as well as rip a solo on the neck. That Neck: The neck is where you grab the guitar most of the time, is where you build that connection, intimacy, that bond with the guitar. We've tested tons of profiles for the neck to finally nail it down this hybrid profile, with a little bit of C-Shape in the lower register, and a kind of V-Shape in the higher register. This design will make it easy to strum chords below the 5th fret, as well as rip a solo on those higher notes up the neck.

That Craftsmanship: The smooth edges of the fretboard, the round chamfer of the top, the glued-on parts, the boltings, you name it. Every guitar is set to perfect actions before shipping. In the worst-case scenario that the action got a tiny bit higher due to transportation, you can always adjust it back with a wrench.

That Package: This X1 Pro acoustic guitar is 34-inch, 3/4-sized, which makes it way more comfortable for kids to hold. Such a nice little beginner guitar.
